Things have been a bit nuts for me lately, but I want to share this before the month disappears completely. In the End was selected as one of iBooks 25 best books of the month!
To say I was excited to find this out is an understatement. Out of all of my books, it feels right that it's happened with this one. Sam and Natasha's story is something special. Here's the gorgeous graphic iBooks sent me to share. :D

This past month has been crazy.
I've finished my book and it is all ready to go. It came out 15,000 words over my target, but the story I ended up with is warming, heartfelt, funny and hot. I'm sure my readers will like Olivia, she's come out of a marriage and dealing with the insecurity that came with her husband having left her for another woman, trying to start a new relationship when the only man she's ever been with is her husband, and struggling to keep things going for her boys. I'm even more sure that you'll love Logan. He's hot, sexy, and doing his best to take things slowly as far as building any kind of relationship with Olivia. Did I mention how good he is with her children? Anyway, the book starts rolling out tonight/tomorrow on iBooks and then will be published on Amazon/B&N/Kobo/Google. I can't wait for you to read this, it's been a great way to celebrate two years of self-publishing! And I still have that announcement for what I'm doing next up my sleeve. ;) Since my last blog post, Andrew's story got a name. It's called Three Days.
Tentative release date is the 18th of December (I'm also working on another little surprise around that date, so watch this space!) and will be a 99c release to say thank you to all those who have supported me this year. Just a little Christmas present! I'm not sure how long it will be, but I've got to 15,000 words and the story is building. For someone who I didn't like in the last book, Andrew is getting a great story as I really think there's no much to tell. The events of Loving Rowan broke him, and he has to start again minus Charlie and Rowan, so he needs to find new friends and people to support him. Here's the blurb When Loving Rowan ended, Andrew still had his story to tell. The story of starting his life again. Three days … That’s how long I was married to Charlie. Her death on our third day of marriage still haunts me, the part I played in her asthma attack will be with me forever. I loved her, but just couldn’t let go of the past. Three days … How long I held Rowan captive, trying to convince her that she needed to be with me. She’d turned her back on me once I chose Charlie and moved on with someone else. In my grief and stupidity, I lost any chance of her friendship. Three days … I’ve done prison time for what I did, and now I need to start again. I wasn't looking for any relationship, the thought of love is simply too painful. And yet, it’s been three days since I met Maddy, and already she’s brought more laughter to my life than I have had in so very long. She’s been through a lot too, so now I wonder if we can make a fresh start together. Three Days is available now for pre-order on iBooks https://itunes.apple.com/nz/book/three-days/id912632096?mt=11&uo=4&at=10lvuW I feel like I haven't blogged for ages, but this book has been keeping me busy.
Loving Rowan came back from the editor a few days ago, so I have been going through the edits, rewriting parts and getting ready to do the final uploads everywhere. I've loved every story I've written, and I think they get better and better. I am really in love with this one, Rowan isn't that far removed from me in a lot of ways. For most of my life I was quite shy, it was working in retail that knocked most of that out of me. :D Loving Rowan is available for pre-order on iBooks right now. Link opens in iTunes. :) https://itunes.apple.com/nz/book/loving-rowan/id900843612?mt=11&uo=4&at=10lvuW I'm also really close to revealing more details on my next book, so stay tuned! Loving Rowan went off to the editor yesterday, so while that's with her, I'll be working on the next thing I have planned. So exciting to get to this point!
I am totally in love with this book, Rowan is shy and sweet, and Kyle is loving and protective. I think she gives him what he needs after an unstable love life, while he shows her just how beautiful she is, even though she doesn't think so. The cover reveal is on the 18th of July, after which I'll have a pre-order link available for iBooks. Sorry Amazon readers, I don't have the ability to set up pre-orders, but I'll be pressing publish early enough to get the book available on release day.. I'll also have ARCs available, so will post the link to the form on here and on my Facebook page closer to the date. I really am so happy about this. Writing Taking Chances was hard, it was very emotional and hard to get through at times as Lauren fought her battles. Rowan has her own battles in Loving Rowan, but I loved bringing her to life as she discovers things to help her find herself. SOON! I am sick. Horrible, winter cold sick. I can barely keep my eyes open, fighting the urge to go to sleep and have been like that for the last few days. I haven't been this ill for a long time.
BUT, I am still awake because right at this moment Another Chance is the number one contemporary romance title on iBooks UK and number fourteen overall. This is so crazy, and exciting! While I am working on the next book, I also thought that winter would be a good opportunity to go through my back catalogue, and tidy up anything that was missed back when I pressed the publish button. It would be a quiet time of year with not being able to go out and about with the bad weather, I thought, and I know that prior to Taking Chances, there was space for improvement. Though, I'm finding that sometimes, it doesn't matter how many pairs of eyes you have on something, little things still slip through. It really doesn't seem so quiet right now. The beauty of e-books however, is that it's easy to fix those little things that bug us. I have a much stronger team of people helping me now than I did even six months ago, and going forward things will be even better! When I started my self-publishing journey, I had no idea how amazing it would be. Eighteen months in, I have had the bitter disappointment of failure, the highs of success, and found some truly wonderful, caring, kind people along the way. I have been truly blessed. And now, I'm going back to sleep. :) Taking Chances is now live on iBooks (in some countries), Amazon, and on All Romance books.
I have updated links on the Taking Chances book page! I did roll out an update to iBooks when the final proofreading and formatting was done, but that is still in progress. If you have received a copy of the Taking Chances pre-order, this is not the final book and the update will come through when it's processed. To be honest, I feel quite sad today. Writing about Lauren, Ethan, Cassie, Patrick, and Sophie again was so enjoyable. I love them all and I am sorry to say goodbye. There is however, no more story left to tell. Onto the next thing now, and when I solidify where I'm going with it, I'll update everybody! I am going over final edits for Taking Chances and we are so close to it going live!
I just wanted to put a reminder out there that it can be pre-ordered from iBooks. The link to pre-order is https://itunes.apple.com/nz/book/taking-chances/id816226507?mt=11&uo=4&at=10lvuW Amazon, Kobo, B&N and All Romance will also go live on the 27th or shortly thereafter, depending on publishing times. I am going to do my very best to get this out as quickly as possible as I know there are a lot of you out there waiting for Lauren and Ethan's story. I am so proud of this book. I thought that Another Chance was a big step for me, and Taking Chances is more than I ever thought it would be. I've been asked if there will be any more books in the series, and I can confirm that there will just be the two. I've covered everything I want to, and Cassie and Patrick get a follow-up in Taking Chances too. Next, I'm moving onto something different, and have been working on my other project while Taking Chances has been in editing. I don't know where it's going yet, but I'm enjoying it. Anyway, I am off to bed as I have more edits to work through and I'm taking Mr 8 to see The Lego Movie! Because Another Chance did so well on iBooks Australia, Taking Chances is now up for pre-order on Apple.
