I always say on Facebook that if I disappear, it's because I'm crazy busy and it's normally near the end of a project. Same with this blog! Three Days is almost finished, just some rewrites and maybe some small additions to do and then it'll be on to editing.
I love this story. I love all my stories, but writing a redemption story was something I hadn't tried before and although I didn't write him to like him in Loving Rowan, Andrew deserved it. He went through a hell of a lot. Yes he did some horrible stuff and was arrogant, but how devastating would it be to lose the woman you'd just married on your honeymoon? I figured that was enough to drive anyone a little crazy at least. This story made me laugh, and it made me cry. The woman he meets, Maddy, was just awesome to write. She's full of life, and love, and has her own past to leave behind. And, in this story we also meet her ex-boyfriend, Logan, who is going to feature in the third book of the series. YES! I was inspired in a random conversation to write a third book in what is going to be the Friends Forever series. I love the whole friends to lovers trope, although some of my couples have done things a little back to front (Lauren and Ethan!), and I had another story idea I was already working on that I realised would slot quite nicely into that series. Anyway, I'll have some more details soon and a pre-order ready for iBooks as usual. I have to come up with a name for it first. ;) So I'll leave you with a teaser for Three Days and a pre-order link and get back to it. The cover reveal for Three Days is planned for the 18th of this month, one month before release, so keep an eye out for it! Just a quick post as tonight is crazy with a whole lot of stuff I need to get done, but here is the gorgeous cover for Loving Rowan. Another gorgeous cover by Sprinkles On Top Studios.
Loving Rowan went off to the editor yesterday, so while that's with her, I'll be working on the next thing I have planned. So exciting to get to this point!
I am totally in love with this book, Rowan is shy and sweet, and Kyle is loving and protective. I think she gives him what he needs after an unstable love life, while he shows her just how beautiful she is, even though she doesn't think so. The cover reveal is on the 18th of July, after which I'll have a pre-order link available for iBooks. Sorry Amazon readers, I don't have the ability to set up pre-orders, but I'll be pressing publish early enough to get the book available on release day.. I'll also have ARCs available, so will post the link to the form on here and on my Facebook page closer to the date. I really am so happy about this. Writing Taking Chances was hard, it was very emotional and hard to get through at times as Lauren fought her battles. Rowan has her own battles in Loving Rowan, but I loved bringing her to life as she discovers things to help her find herself. SOON! A short time ago, posts started appearing with the cover of Taking Chances. So without any further ado, here it is. :) Now everyone can see what I was so excited about. It's just so beautiful! Designed by Sprinkles On Top Studios.
I'll be working hard on the book over the next few weeks, but I got the cover reveal out of the way, as after the success of Another Chance, I'll be working with Apple to put Taking Chances up for pre-order. Taking Chances is a follow up to Another Chance, featuring Lauren Burrows from the book. It can be read after Another Chance, but if I have things right it can also be read as a stand-alone. When I wrote Another Chance, I adored Cassie. She and the other characters from Another Chance will feature in Taking Chances, but Lauren is the star of this book. She is an amazing woman, with very real issues, and I have just as much love for Lauren as I do Cassie. This is going to be another very special book to me, I hope you will like it too. :) Not just yet...
In the next few hours, blogs will start posting the cover for Taking Chances. When that happens, I'll post it on Facebook and here in the blog. I am so excited about this. Writing this book has been both a lot harder and a lot easier than I've struck before. I know this doesn't make sense right now, but bear with me! Lauren's story is tough. We saw the cynical side of her as she struggled to find what she needed in Another Chance. When Mark and Cassie met, she saw what they had and wanted it for herself. We caught a glimpse of Lauren at the end of Another Chance and what happened to her. Taking Chances is about her journey to that point and a little beyond. The hard part of writing this has been putting into words the journey she takes. It has some really rough moments. The easy part is that she is even more amazing than I ever realised, and I'm the one who created her. By the time I'm finished it's hard to know who is going to be my favourite between Cassie and Lauren. They're both amazing, tough, capable women and I have more love for them than I ever thought possible. Ethan is definitely going to have some good ,and some not so good moments, but you all know by now that I love a happy ending! |
