Check out what I received yesterday! They are gorgeous inside and out, and I am so over the moon with them. They'll be up for sale on Amazon and Createspace shortly!
Anyone who visits the site regularly will notice the changes that I've made. I've been itching to redesign the website for a while, and there are still some tweaks to be made, but I'm really happy with it. I wanted it to be simple but look good, and be easy to navigate. I also loved the colour scheme for Taking Chances, so matched the colours with the book as much as I could. Coming soon: New covers and relaunch for the Hot for the Boss series. More info in my next release (I'll post the teaser on here shortly), and I've got a few more things on the boil. This year is a bit more quiet than last year was on the release front due to other commitments, but I don't think my readers will be disappointed!

Here's a glimpse of the interior for the Taking Chances paperback - available soon. I'm just waiting on the proofs, but I think this is going to be gorgeous! The screenshots don't do it justice either.
I'm working on a lot of things at the moment. Apart from my WIP which has taken on a life of its own (those pesky characters wanting to do things I don't want them to), I'm also working on revamping my older books and giving them a more consistent look. Some of you will already know that I got new covers for the Hot for the Boss novellas last year. They came as a set, but what I thought about afterwards was a more cohesive look for all five books. When I asked my designer about a new cover for Hot for the Boss complete edition, she sold me on new covers for them all. They are spectacular, and I think suit the characters. I revealed the first one on my Facebook page a few days ago. I love it. I can just see Alisha's attitude in her face!
I'm also going to be re-editing and reformatting the book. I've learnt so much in the last year and a half, and I want this to go back out fresh and new. I was partly inspired to do this because of the amazing job Max Effect did with my interiors for Taking Chances. I wanted to get the paperback done so it was beautiful, but Max did an amazing job with the epub too. I can't wait to see what she can do with these books! Once I pressed publish on Taking Chances, I felt a bit lost. Saying goodbye to characters I loved so much was harder than I thought it would be, even though I had the privilege to write two books with them in.
The challenge I face with Taking Chances was turning characters I made small mentions of in Another Chance into something bigger. It was a random thought near the end of Another Chance to put Ethan and Lauren together. We didn't know much about Ethan, and just a little more about Lauren, but it felt right to give them a happy ending. Of course at that stage, I didn't know I'd end up writing their love story, and I had this idea about Lauren's struggles with alcohol in the back of my head that you just glimpse at first. Taking Chances gave me the opportunity to explore it. Writing that book was an emotional rollercoaster for me. I experienced Mark's death from a different perspective (it was hard enough the first time, and I felt Lauren's pain as she was tormented by the thing she'd come to rely on. Lauren became more special to me than I ever thought she would, and I am so grateful to have created her, and to have nurtured her. She deserved nothing but the best. So, now I turn my sights on my project I started when Taking Chances was being edited. I'm aiming for an August release, but in the meantime I have some new covers to reveal for the Hot for the Boss series, and they are very steamy! All this has distracted me of course from finishing off Loving the Rake, but I plan on that being done by the end of the year. I might even free up November to take part in NaNoWriMo again and write another one! Please, if you read Taking Chances or any of my other books, I would really appreciate it if you leave a review. They help me and they help the books. I also love hearing from readers, so email me, message me, come and find me on Facebook or Twitter. One day I'll even work out Google Plus! :D xxx Ariadne |
